What you should know before applying
- You may renew your licence prior to its expiry date by submitting a renewal application together with the required documents.
- Your application will not be processed until all necessary supporting documents and information have been submitted.
How to Apply?
1. If necessary, please contact us for advice.
2. Prepare all supporting documents.
3. Complete and submit the Access Licence Online Renewal Application Form.
4. Incomplete applications will be rejected
Supporting documents checklist
- Complete online application form;
- Letter of support from your local collaborator (all names must be mentioned);
- A copy of your research progress/publication; Permissionletter from the resource manager including consent from the Chief Village (to fulfil PIC)*;
- Letter of security clearance from MKN (KKBranch), ESSCOM and PHEDNP*(only applies if your research area involves marine water/marine park on the East Coast of Sabah); and
- Other supporting documents as requested by the secretariat to complete your licence application.
*If the initial letter did not permits the whole duration of your research.
