2.1 Who Should Apply

User seeking access to biological resources or traditional knowledge associated with biological resources for the purpose of research and development, must apply for the access and export licence before you can conduct your research activities:

1.  Undergraduate or postgraduate students (local and international);
2.  Individuals or group researchers (local and international);
3.  University or research institutions (local and international);
4.  NGOs, civil societies, and corporate entities (local and international); and
5.  State & Federal Government Public Officers.

Taking of biological resources or associated relevant knowledge other than the purpose of research and development does not require access and export licence (i.e EIA, commercial forestry, conservation purpose and others as stipulated under section 14A (2) SBE.
